Les premières séances dans les studios du label Fame à Muscle Shoals Alabama produisent I Never Loved a Man The Way I Love You », premier grand succès de la chanteuse. Ce n'est que le début d'une suite exceptionnelle de classiques incluant Respect », Chain of Fools », Baby I Love You », I Say a Little Prayer », Think », The House That Jack Built » et beaucoup d'autres. Elle enregistre ainsi le carré d'as des disques de la soul music en quelques mois I Never Loved a Man The Way I Love You et Aretha Arrives 1967, Lady Soul et Aretha Now 1968. Les albums de grande facture se succèdent Aretha in Paris enregistré à l'Olympia en 1968, Soul '69, This Girl's in Love With You 1970 et le très prophétique Spirit in the Dark 1970. Who's Zoomin' Who 1986, produit par Dave Stewart Eurythmics, rallie tous les suffrages de vente et son duo avec George Michael I Knew You Were Waitin' for Me », 1986 devient n°1. Téléchargement digital Téléchargez cet album dans la qualité de votre choix Langue disponible anglais Among Aretha aficionados, Amazing Grace has long been considered one of her high-water marks, since it captured her glorious return to her gospel roots in front of a live audience. The original 1972 album contained just 14 tracks, culled from two live performances with the Southern California Community Choir, Ken Lupper, and the Rev. James Cleveland at the New Temple Missionary Baptist Church in Los Angeles. Fans have long wished for the release of the two complete concerts - which is exactly what Rhino's Amazing Grace The Complete Recordings gives them. Over the course of two discs and 29 tracks, every performance Franklin gave that January, along with comments from Cleveland and solo tracks from Lupper and the Choir, is unfurled, and if anything, the music is even more impressive when heard complete and unedited. Of course, the nature of this set makes it of interest primarily to dedicated fans, but they'll likely be delighted by the entire package. © Stephen Thomas Erlewine /TiVo Plus d'informations Your browser does not support the audio element. Descriptif de l'album Among Aretha aficionados, Amazing Grace has long been considered one of her high-water marks, since it captured her glorious return to her gospel roots in front of a live audience. © Stephen Thomas Erlewine /TiVo À propos 1 disques - 27 pistes Durée totale 023626 Artiste principal Aretha Franklin Compositeur Various Composers Label Rhino Atlantic Genre Soul/Funk/R&B Soul 16-Bit CD Quality kHz - Stereo © 1972 Atlantic Recording Corp., manufactured and marketed by Rhino Entertainment Company, a Warner Music Group Company ℗ 1972 Atlantic Recording Corp., manufactured and marketed by Rhino Entertainment Company, a Warner Music Group Company Distinctions Discothèque Insolite Qobuz Qobuz Référence Améliorer cette page album Pourquoi acheter sur Qobuz ?
